JLPT N4 GRAMMAR: じょうけんけい(Conditional form)

With the use of conditional form, the former part of the sentence describes the requirements needed for an event or occurrence to manifest itself. The conditonal form for verbs, adjectives and noun is as below.
- Group I verb: Change the last sound of the ますform into the sound of えーline and attach ば。
- Group II verb: Attach れば to the ます -form.
- Group III verb: きます becomes くれば and します becomes すれば.
- い-adjective：Change the い of the い- adjecive to ければ.
- な- adjective: Delete the last な of な-adjective and add なら.
- Noun: Attach ならto the noun.

- ボタンを押せば窓が開きます。
- Botan o oseba mado ga hirakimasu.
- If you press the button, the window will open.
- बटन दबाते ही विंडो खुल जाती है।
- 彼は行けば私も行きます。
- Kare wa ikeba watashi mo ikimasu.
- If he goes, I will also go.
- अगर वह जाता है मै भी जाऊंगा।
- いい天気なら向こうに島が見えます。
- Ī tenkinara mukō ni shima ga miemasu.
- When it is fine, an island can be seen over there.
- यदि मौसम अच्छा है, तो आप वहाँ पर द्वीप देख सकते हैं।
- 他に意見がなければ、これで終わりましょう。
- Hoka ni iken ga nakereba, kore de owarimashou.
- If you don’t have any other opinion, let’s close here.
- यदि आपके पास कोई अन्य राय नहीं है, तो यहापर समाप्त करें।
- 明日までにレポトを出さなければなりませんか
- Ashita made ni repoto o dasanakereba narimasen ka.
- Do I have to send the report by tomorrow?
- क्या मुझे कल तक रिपोर्ट जारी करनी है?
- 無理なら金曜日までに出してください。
- Murinara kin’yōbi made ni dashite kudasai.
- If it is impossible, hand it in by this Friday.
- यदि यह संभव नहीं है, तो कृपया इसे शुक्रवार तक दे दें।
