Meaning: Such things as…., and so on, and …..and (जैसे की …., और … और… )
Nouns are connected in coordinate relation by the particle や. While と enumerates all the items, や shows a few representative items. Sometimes it is put after the last noun to explicitly express that there are also some other things of the kind.
Example sentences:
- 箱の中に手紙や写真があります。
- Hako no naka ni tegami ya shashin ga arimasu.
- There are letters, pictures and so on in the box.
- बॉक्स में पत्र और चित्र (जैसी चीजे )हैं।
- 箱の中に手紙や写真などがあります。
- Hako no naka ni tegami ya shashin nado ga arimasu.
- There are letters, pictures and so on in the box.
- बॉक्स में पत्र , तस्वीरें इत्यादी इत्यादी हैं।
- 歴史家の役割は資料の発見や分類よりも、むしろその解釈と説明にある。
- Rekishiya no yakuwari wa shiryō no hakken ya bunrui yori mo, mushiro sono kaishaku to setsumei ni aru.
- The role of historians lies in their interpretation and explanation, rather than discovery of materials, their categorization so on.
- इतिहासकारों की भूमिका सामग्री के खोज, उनके वर्गीकरण आदि से भी ज्यादा, बेहतर उनकी व्याख्या और स्पष्टीकरण में निहित है।
